Manitoba Kendo Club on City TV

On January 24th The Manitoba Kendo Club was invited to demonstrate Kendo on City TV’s Breakfast Television. The hosts of the show were Jenna Khan and MKC’s own Obby Khan (#60 Winnipeg Blue Bombers) along with guests David Westhead, Reuban Gabac, and Jason Park.

MKC Players arrived at City TV at 5:50am for preparation for the live broadcast. On arrival, the shows hosts Jenna and Obby Khan (no relation) spent a few minutes to welcome us off set. In conversation, we were thanked for waking up so early to share our kendo, but the truth is we were awake anyway and had to cancel a scheduled 6am practice to join the hosts of Breakfast Television. We are grateful for the opportunity share our art with our city and we are looking forward to returning to City TV in the near future!
