Manitoba Kendo Club Seminar June 21-23

The Manitoba Kendo Club annual seminar took place on June 21-23 2013. Participants and sensei came from Edmonton, Saskatoon, Toronto, and Vancouver for a weekend of kendo instruction and friendship.

Areas covered in the MKC 2013 seminar included more tournament oriented drills and exercises as well as a multitude of varied techniques. Also covered in this seminar were the All Japan Kendo Federations latest additions to kata ( Bokuto Ni Yoru Kendo Kihon-waza Keiko-ho). Also included in this years seminar was our first open tournament.

On Behalf of the organizers and resident instructors at MKC, we would like to thank Tsumura Sensei of the JCCC (Hachidan, Hanshi), Murao Sensei of Steveston Kendo Club (Nanadan, Renshi). Miyaoka Sensei of Saskatoon Kendo Club (Nanadan), Gendzwill sensei of Saskatoon Kendo Club (Rokudan) for making our seminar successful.
